Baptised 15 June 1766, Chislet, Kent. Parents recorded as Thomas and Mary Holloway.
Married Elizabeth Wacher 17 November, 1791, Chislet, Kent. Samuel Hollaway of Whitstable, boatbuilder, bachelor 25 & Elizabeth Wacher of Chislet, Spinster 22 at Church 16 NOV 1791 per Vol. 33 Kent, Surrey, London, Canterbjrh Marriage Licences 1781-1809.
Samuel and Elizabeth had three sons: Edward (born 1792), Theordore (1802) and Samuel (1806).
Edward was baptised 26 August 1792 in Whitstable. Parents recorded as Samuel and Elizabeth Holloway.
Samuel had a shipyard in Whitstable.
In his will Samuel was descibed as a “shipwright of the parish of Whitstable” and left everything to his eldest son Edward.
Thomas Holloway
Born 14 September 1734, Maidstone, Kent.
Married Mary Nash 12 October 1761 in Reculver, Kent.

Died 31 July 1806. In his will he was described as a “shopkeeper of Chislet”.

He is buried at St Mary the Virgin Church, Chislet, his gravestone says “In Memory of
Thomas HOLLAWAY late of this parish who died July 26th 1806 aged 72 years.”
Chislet is a small village approx 9 miles east of Whitstable.
